Away from Victoria during the election?
There are a number of options available if you will be away from Victoria during the voting period (Monday 12 to Saturday 24 November 2018).
These include:
early voting
voting via post
voting interstate or overseas
notifying VEC that you will be away during the whole election period (including election day)

Tuesday 6 November (Melbourne Cup Day) | Roll closes 8.00 pm
Monday 12 November | Early voting begins 9.00 am
Wednesday 21 November | Postal vote applications close 6.00 pm
Friday 23 November | Early voting closes 6.00 pm
Saturday 24 November - Election Day. Voting 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
Friday 30 November | Last day postal votes can be admitted 6.00 pm
Voting in the election
Voting is compulsory for everyone on the roll as at 8.00 pm on Tuesday 6 November. If you fail to vote and do not have a valid reason, you may receive a fine.
